We know you enjoyed our last post, “Events This August!” and now we’re back with even more events but this time you can give back to the community while you have a great time!  What better excuse to go out than for a great cause?

Cheap Pub Party Fundraiser – Head to the Wild Rover right next to Faneuil Hall in Boston this Saturday, August 10th from 7 PM – 10 PM for a fundraiser supporting Project Bread; an organization fighting to end hunger.  Tickets are $9 at the door but less if you purchase online in advance.  If you plan on buying at the door be sure to bring exact change, and if you purchase tickets online you need to print it out.  VIP tickets are also available and will guarantee a larger donation to Project Bread.  Admission to the event also includes a free drink before 8:15 PM and free appetizers until 9:30 PM.  Free movie passes will also be raffled off, don’t miss out on this fun night out!

Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament – Like to golf?  Then there’s no better way to spend Monday, August 12th than by taking part in the NVCC’s annual golf tournament at the Easton Country Club from 11 AM – 7 PM!  Not only will it be a beautiful day for golf, there will also be prizes, tons of fun, and delicious food!  A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Massachusetts Hospital School; an organization dedicated to providing habilitative, rehabilitative, recreational, educational and vocational services to children and young adults with multiple disabilities, assisting them to achieve their maximum level of independence in all aspects of life. The cost of this event is $135 per golfer or $540 per foursome.

New England Revolution Collect School Supplies for Cradles to Crayons – The New England Revolution have been conducting a series of charity donation drives including one on Saturday, August 17th before their 7 PM game against Chicago Fire.  The match is at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro and tickets for a game range from $23 – $45 and are fun events for the whole family.  If you haven’t experienced one of these games, you definitely need to check it out and you can make a difference in the life of a young child.  School supplies will go to Cradles to Crayons; an organization that gives low-income and homeless children in Massachusetts and Philadelphia items they need to learn and thrive.

Are there any other great charity events going on this month that we haven’t mentioned?  Be sure to let us know in the comments!
