All work and no play would make us boring! Things are usually far from boring here at MassDrive, and this year’s holiday party was no exception! The team gathered for some time together outside the office to relax and enjoy some food and fun.

We got together with the NGI folks at the end of December for our holiday party to celebrate the season, the company and our new hires at Elephant and Castle in Boston (not too far from our Fort Point office!).

The evening featured a delicious meal, some words from Bill and Jean-Marie, and a heated game of trivia set to seasonal tunes that got us all in the holiday spirit – even if our competitive spirits were working against that!

We were divided into four teams and face off in several rounds of trivia. Of course, it wouldn’t be MassDrive if our trivia game didn’t have some hard-hitting insurance questions! My team’s strategy was to go big, answer confidently and cheer like we had answered the question right regardless of the outcome as to intimidate our competitors. It worked! That’s right, Team North Pole brought home a win!

The party was a great time, and we all enjoyed the chance to spend some time together. A big thank you goes out to Angelique for planning such a fun night for us! From all of us at MassDrive, we hope you had a wonderful holiday season and we wish you a happy new year!

We love our neighborhood – especially when our neighborhood has pumpkin pageants! Last week, the Friends of Fort Point Channel hosted a pumpkin pageant, where local Fort Point businesses could compete against one another in a pumpkin carving competition, to be determined by the voting public to get us all in the Halloween spirit. Does it get more fall than that? Or any cuter?
We were very excited to enter and began brainstorming our pumpkin right away. Our pumpkin was dropped off on Monday and Mike and I set to work designing and conceptualizing a pumpkin that would not only speak to what we do here at MassDrive, but also be a fun carving adventure that really embodied the season.What’s more MassDrive than a car? At MassDrive, the agent’s main focus is finding the consumer the best value we can offer and not just trying to provide the cheapest policy available. Our model is designed to provide the consumer with the convenience of shopping from anywhere in the state, but also offering comfort and more accessibility than your local agent.
We are seeking candidates that have:
A Bachelor’s degree (or working towards one)
Experience in sales or client service environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Bilingual Spanish/English (a plus)
Integrity and a desire to work hard with good people to do what is best for customers and our company
An active P&C license (desired, but not required)
Responsibilities will include:
Fully understanding coverage needs of customers to match them with best carrier
Responding to inbound calls and making outbound calls to generate new business from quote requests/marketing efforts
Generating customer base from inbound and outbound leads as well as partnerships
NO COLD CALLING
You must be willing and able to pass licensing exam. Also you will be required to work a minimum of one Saturday each month (weekly hours are flexible). Compensation will include a Base Salary and attractive commission plan.
