We all love going out to fun events, but why not head to something where you can have fun and give back to the community? There are tons of fun charity events going on this September where you can have some laughs, meet new people, and help those that are less fortunate than you. What’s not to like?
25th Annual Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk – Presented by Hyundai, this annual walk allows participants to follow the 26.2 mile Boston Marathon route, and you can either walk the full route or there are three shorter options to choose from. There is a $300 fundraising minimum and the money raised benefits the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and makes a major difference in their mission to cure all types of cancer. The walk is set to take place on Sunday, September 8th and is the Jimmy Fund’s largest one-day fundraising event. Can’t walk on the day of the event? Sign up to volunteer, donate, or even become a virtual walker! Whatever way you can help out on walk day is sure to make a major difference in the fight to find a cure, which is something we all want!
Play Fore Paws – Love to golf? Sign up for the Play Fore Paws event taking place on September 8th at the Merrimack Valley Golf Club in Methuen! Not only will this be a day full of fun in the sun, but you’ll be helping out a wonderful cause and a lot of deserving animals!
