We’re back with a very special Furry Friend Friday interview!  Today I got to chat with Mohawk, a 3 year old greyhound mix up for adoption at Greyhound Friends, Inc in Hopkinton!  This cute boy came all the way from Indiana, and has been in the shelter since August so he’s ready for his forever home!

So Mohawk, you’re a very cute guy and have an interesting name, how did you get it?

Well it’s funny you ask, I actually have a bit of a mohawk on the back of my neck so that’s where I got my name!  You can’t really see it too well in the picture, but if you come visit me you’ll see it and how adorable I am!

What’s your favorite way to spend the day?

Well here at the shelter there’s a huge fenced in field that I get to run around in and play with other dogs, that’s really fun for me.  I’m not quite a  puppy anymore but I still have a good amount of energy and love to go for walks and be outside.

Do you have a favorite toy?

Not at the moment, I love toys but don’t really have too many of my own here at the shelter, I would love to have a favorite once I find my forever family though!

What about a favorite treat?

I’m a pretty easy going guy and love the classic milk bones, you can’t go wrong with those!

Is there anything that scares you?

Well I’d say loud noises make me nervous, thunder is a good example.  I’m not a scaredy cat but loud noises do put me on edge a bit.

What do you think would be the perfect family for you?

I can fit in with almost anyone, I would like to be with a family that could bring me for walks or has a big fenced in yard where I can play.  I’m a great companion, but I don’t mind being alone sometimes so if you have to go for work that’s ok.  I get along with other dogs as well, but not sure about cats yet, I haven’t been around too many of them so I’m not sure how we would get along.

So Mohawk, why do you think pet insurance is an important thing for all pet parents to consider?
